We believe that our resources – our time, our abilities, our money – are gifts from God. Thus out of gratitude and in a like manner, we give to others in a variety of ways. We work at giving away at least ten percent of our budget each year.
St Andrew’s has a fine history of supporting people, causes and concerns beyond ourselves. We continue this today in a variety of ways. We support, for instance, a number of community organizations by offering them our facilities free of charge. We also support the Auckland City Mission, the Anglican Trust for Women and Children, Save the Children, and the Anglican Board of Missions.
We also intentionally support (through fundraising and ‘hands-on’ involvement) a number of other organizations, picking one or two to be our focus for twelve to twenty-four months. In 2007 and 2008, for example, we held fundraisers with a particular focus on supporting the work of the Books in Prison Trust.
In 2009 our particular focus is on fundraising for and educating ourselves about the work of the Anglican Trust for Women and Children as they celebrate their anniversary year.
If you would like to assist us in any aspect of our outreach work, please contact us.
Loving Service
