Coffee on Tuesdays – Come along and relax over a coffee at Orvieto at 935 Mt Eden Rd, from 10:30am Tuesdays (except the last Tuesday of the month). A great way to get to know people!
Strawberry Fair – Our annual fair in November is a community event, with a huge variety of goods for sale as well as food and entertainment.
Parish Dinner – In 2008 our annual dinner took the form of a medieval feast, complete with costumes, spit roasts, players and a magician. Wonderful fun. 2009 was a pirate themed extravaganza! 2010 promises to be even more fun.
Choir – Our choir rehearses weekly and enjoys offering music at our 9:30am worship service each Sunday.
Flower Guild – Our experienced and dedicated flower guild prepares fresh flower arrangements for the church every week, following the seasons of both the church year and our gardens.
Study Groups – From time to time we have study/discussion groups – usually in Lent and occasionally at other times as well. These are a great chance to learn something new, share your wisdom, and get to know others in the parish.
Care’n’Craft – a parish team hosts a weekly Care’n’Craft group for local elderly persons in the parish hall.
Ginger’n’Bread – a monthly women’s group with guest speakers and short devotions; a chance for building friendships old and new. First Thursday of each month, 1:30pm in the parish hall.
Mainly Music – a music and movement program run by a parish team for toddlers and their parents. Saturday mornings in the parish hall.
Lunches at Robert Harris - On the last Tuesday of every month, instead of morning coffee, we have an informal lunch group – midday at the Robert Harris Coffee Shop, upstairs in the Royal Oak mall. Lots of laughs and good company!
Movie Nights - Every now and then we break out and organize a group to go and see a good movie – and we’re sure to make time to share a glass of wine or a quick dinner before or after too!
