Children are very welcome at St Andrew’s, and we are blessed by their participation in worship and in other programs we offer.
The St Andrew’s Detective Agency is the name of our sunday school program. On the first three sundays of the month our detectives are lead by Senior Detective Supersonic Sacha in investigating clues lying around that tell us about God. Each week there is a new case to be solved!
On the last Sunday of the month our Detectives are joined by Celeste who helps them learn a variety of songs. The Detectives meet during our 9.30am Sunday service throughout the school term. Each week a different child takes home our Parish Bear, Andy Pandy, who then is returned the following week with his adventures added to his passport. For more information please contact Sacha Beguely on 630 8455.
Mainly Music, a music and movement program for preschoolers, runs on Saturday mornings in the parish hall and is lead by a parish team. We’re all about building relationships, learning about Christianity, and most of all HAVING FUN! Our sessions include games, crazy, creative activities, discussions and bonding with Humphrey our mascot. Team Awesome is more fun than a monkey on skates! For more information please contact Emily Colgan on 630 7456.
Our Senior Youth Group (ages 14-19) meets on Thursday nights from 7pm – 9pm. We aim to have fun. We play crazy games and laugh till it hurts. We try to think outside the square as we explore what it means to journey with God. We aim to provide a non-threatening space where young people are free to explore the question of life, Christianity, justice and other issues. We are a nurturing and challenging group where all who come are welcome and respected. Thursday nights are a highlight of the week and provide our older youth with an opportunity to grow and explore while having heaps of fun. For more information please contact Emily Colgan on 630 7456.
